The Executive Climate Change Council submitted a preliminary report to Governor Chafee upon his return from Europe last Friday, including a draft action plan.  The Governor will formally announce receipt of the report and make it available for public comment on Thursday, May 8. Following a brief comment period, the report will be “finalized” toward the end of the month, at which time we hope to include more background information and context, as well.  The documents will be posted on the council web site (http://www.planning.ri.gov/statewideplanning/climate/).

The announcement will take place on Thursday, May 8th at 10:30 AM. It will be located at Bristol Town Beach next to Colt State Park.
