Agencies collaborate on Shoreline Plans
The article by Renee Meyers from the Block Island Times reviews the Municipal Work Session on Adaption Planning for Coastal Hazards that was held on October 22 at the Block Island Town Hall. The meeting was hosted by representatives of RI Sea Grant, CRMC and the Coastal Resource Center at URI. The meeting looked at ways to use “information to plan strategies for adaptation and resiliency and how to comply with new state requirement.” Members from the CRC and CRMC spoke as well as Bryan Oakley who is studying “erosion of bluffs around the island.”
