Learn a simple, fast and inexpensive method for beach profiling to track changes to the shoreline! The CRMC, along with the University of Rhode Island Department of Geosciences and Eastern Connecticut State University, is offering this free training session, with others to follow if needed.

CRMC coastal geologist Janet Freedman, state geologist Dr. Jon Boothroyd, and Dr. Bryan Oakley will be instructing anyone interested; the event is open to the public.

This method has been used in Rhode Island for more than 30 years, and is easy to learn. This is the third training opportunity offered by the CRMC.

Dress for the weather, and dress to get wet.
