“Engineering Hope in a Changing Climate” Workshop: November 19-21, Warwick

The workshop “Future Designs: Engineering Hope in a Changing Climate” is a 3-hour workshop, held within the 3 day Annual Conference of the International Erosion Control Association’s starting on November 19 in Warwick.

Mark Twain’s “if you don’t like the weather in New England, just wait a few minutes” takes on a new dimension with climate change altering precipitation patterns, increasing storm intensities, and accelerating sea level rise. This workshop provides an overview of key trends, issues and opportunities from experts in the field, while giving participant groups time to discuss real life examples of the risk posed to the built and natural environment as an avenue for identifying solutions.
