Cornelia Dean will be speaking on the topic of “The Fate of the Coast” at Emmanuel Church in Newport tonight, Oct 8th at 7:00 p.m. The lecture will be held in the church community hall and is free and open to the public.  Free parking is available in the church parking lot on Dearborn Street. Ms. Dean’s talk will explore the impact of rising sea levels on coastal communities worldwide but with particular emphasis on the implications for the residents of Newport and Rhode Island.
