A free community event, “Readying North Kingstown for Rising Water,” will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, at the Cold Spring Community Center, 36 Beach St., North Kingstown. Attendees will learn how individuals and the town can weather hurricane season and flooding caused by storms and rising ocean water. Results of a study focusing on North Kingstown’s at-risk areas will be shared.
